GDG NIT Surat in association with Web Dev Labs is organizing an event on Open Source Software and Google Summer Of Code. It was educational, fun and entertaining. Students got to know about Open Source and how they can contribute. Latter half of the event focused on GSoC and how students can participate in this largest international open source programme for students.

The one reason behind the thriving developer community in SVNIT, reason why WebDev labs, Entrepreneur Cell and India’s largest student run hackathon InOut exists. Thank you sir for leaving us with a thriving community of doers and makers which you nurtured with your inspiration for the past 5 years, we promise to carry your legacy forward. When setting out to learn design and development for the web, mobile or desktop, it can be difficult to figure out where to begin and where you're actually headed. In this event we together explored the different types of projects, tools, job and internship roles that are most common in the tech industry.

We organized Google I/O Extended on 19th May. Google I/O is for developers, the creative coders who are building what's next. Together we explored the latest in tech, mobile, and beyond.

Google's Women Techmakers program provides visibility, community, and resources for women in technology. We at Google Developers Group NIT SURAT organised women techmakers to encourage females to get into technology and entrepreneurship. We had some good speakers for the session from across the country.

We organised GCP NEXT EXTENDED as an extension to GCP NEXT held in california on 23-24 march and make developers aware about the the new google cloud platform's features which gives them a hand to use google's own servers and infrastructure.

Google Developers Study Jams is a free series of global, community-run, in-person study groups. The current Study Jams series is presented in partnership with Udacity and will follow their Android for Beginners curriculum.

We here at Google Developer Group NIT Surat Conducted 4 sessions for bug fixing and guidance for android apps. In one of the sessions , We conducted Google Hangout session with Janit Anjaria,a Flipkart Software Developer.

We conducted a open source session for the beginners of the GDG's developer community.We taught them about what is open source? ,what sre the ways to contribute? , what are some organizations to start with? And finally the Google Summer Of code.

We conducted a Orientation program about Google Developer Group NIT Surat for our new community to join, learn and lead.
